A balance of wins and fails

We enjoyed ample space in our charming cabin, complete with a cozy fireplace and a well-equipped kitchen. Waking up to snow-covered trees outside our window was magical!

Unfortunately, we faced issues with bug infestations and unclean dishes upon arrival, disappointing for our stay.

The cabin was warm and comfortable, great to enjoy cozy evenings together. My favorite was grilling outdoors one night.

Loved our 2 nights here. The room was well laid out with a private bathroom. The location was exceptionally nice in the middle of jackson and the staff here was amazing. Again, it was 1 mile from Northwind Fine Arts.

Beautiful lake views and cozy evenings by the fire.

Comforts of house were fabulous - a microwave, a sofa bed, and a stone fireplace. The hotel had an AMAZING location extremely close to Oh Canada eh Dinner show. Btw, the airport was 0.5 km away.

Returning after 15 years, the space seemed like home, especially at the Balsam with its good setup. We relished the amazing views while preparing meals outdoors, made our evenings nice. Issues with limited cookware and some unkempt areas marred our enjoyment. While the waterfront was beautiful, more attention to cleanliness would enhance the overall experience.

The stunning lake views and cozy fire pit created a warm, relaxing atmosphere. Kayaking every morning was a highlight that made the trip lovely.

The Pines cabin was a total disaster, with a stench and a broken grill that had leftover rotting onion-disgusting! The hotel's idea of maintenance was a joke, as they didn't even offer a room upgrade for all the inconveniences. I almost thought of leaving a nice review but just couldn't. Not worth it!

Tales from the unexpected

A amazing lake view paired with a cozy fire pit. Mornings were filled with kayaking, and evenings spent grilling outdoors created priceless family memories. The location was super convenient, just a short drive to activities like country skiing. Owen was particularly helpful throughout our visit!

The cabin was spotlessly clean and well-equipped, providing ample space for our family. We loved the beautiful beach area with canoes and kayaks, perfect for our daily outings on the lake.

We faced numerous issues . The cabin was misrepresented. There was no air conditioning despite the website claims, leaving us sweltering in 85°F heat. It took hours to reach staff for help, and we ended up spending $80 on fans ourselves, unacceptable and frustrating.

Great outdoor dining area and tv, but the cookware was limited.

our recent honeymoon in saranac lake was magical, but our stay at the resort topped it all. the spacious townhome was a cozy haven with a comfortable bed, beautiful snowy views, and a well-equipped kitchen. centrally located to outdoor activities, the relaxing atmosphere made it picture-perfect.

I booked a cabin at this lodge and was pleasantly surprised. the first night, we had a "grilling" experience due to a smelly oven and broken grill. Maintenance tried to help, but the real hero was the offer to use the neighbor's shower-talk about community spirit! Despite the hiccups, the cozy cabin, snowy views, and nearby attractions made for a memorable, eventful escape. A mix of comedy and chaos, just like a good road trip.
